And WHAT did I FIND?

Well my thoughts have been consumed by mall shopping all weekend, which is why I am soooo delayed in writing today! I was surrounded by the best in the business, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, Hermes...I could go on & on! Yes all these beautiful designers housed in one lovely mall.  Well I got the chance to hold an A list bag carried by A list celebrities the Hermes Birkin Bag ($11,000 retail price)! But, what did I find while shopping a Jimmy Choo bag that was a slight variation of the Birkin bag for a fraction of the cost. Yes, it's an awesome alternative for only $1500 compared to $11,000.

I fell in love with so many nice things over the weekend.  But, one of the love's of my life is below:

This is my mini me (my daughter).  I just had to post a pic of her outfit for church.  It was dress down Sunday so I paired her leopard print leggings, with this cream color shirt that has a spot of red and paired with this red ballet style shoes to bring out the red.  She was more in love with her gold earrings. She said mommy my earrings are pretty, mommy my shoes are pretty! I have created an accessories junky, which is one reason why she's named "mini me."

 

 

 

Speaking of cute little trendy kids....So Easter will be here before you know it! Well let me help you get started....

This dress is simply gorgeous for a little girl.  You can add a nice flower head piece, you can go either way with shoes...if you want to bring out the pink where pink patent leather shoes or some black dress shoes.  This was from cutieclothes.com they are having a major sale.  Dress is $46.95 (original price $93.00)

I LOVE this dress!  This is from cutieclothes.com.  It's Ivory and Sage, very simple with a touch of beauty with the flowers.  This is dress can would look awesome with some ivory lace tights and ivory patent leather shoes. Don't forget your little girls head piece : ).  This dress is listed at $44.95 (original price $132)-item#3712.

Going along with the trendy colors of the season, this orange dress is just beautiful.  It would look great paired with some ivory color accessories because the orange color is so dominant for this classy dress I would let the orange stand out and go light on the accessories (my opinion). How about a sharp suit for your handsome little man?  This is just lovely with the red tie.  Of course with nice suits you can have fun with the tie and even adding a vest would be nice.  This is from cutieclothes.com for $49.95 (original $112).

I realize most of us aren't in a place financially to spend $1000 + for a pair of shoes or a dress-unless it's a wedding gown :).  So, I am committed to providing the look for less!  I will be your source for what's in and what's out...and helping you shop on a budget.  I LOVE the shoes from Alexander McQueen's collection, but don't have Alexander McQueen money : ( solution the look for less...you can still be trendy on a budget. Tuesday FASHION Inspiration!

Today I'm inspired by Alexander McQueen!  I absolutely love the shoes that come out of this fashion house, they are a true art.  Of course you know already how I feel about shoes and their artist ability to transform any look! Today I thought I take the time to post a couple pieces from Alexander McQueen that I'm loving today...take a look.

This shoe is definitely for one with a unique taste and can pull off the look...well I would ROCK the mess out of these shoes : ) LOVE THEM...(Alexander McQueen leather caged ankle boot $1375)

Kids & FASHION!

I am a firm believer that there's nothing wrong with having your child be trendy! I enjoy dressing my daughter, whom I call "mini me" she's like my little doll baby.  There are so many great pieces out there that help keep your child looking good.  One thing I can't stand to see is a mom or dad decked out from head to toe and the children look a wreck-UNACCEPTABLE!  So continue to tune in for my random thoughts on children fashion.  

I Personally LOVE GAP for my mini me!  

Check out these looks from different designers for kids spring/summer 2011 trends....

I love this entire look from Alice + Olivia! Look how trendy she is with her "cat eye shades," the simple dress paired with a combat styled boot.  This is a great look for the spring.  The dress is simple but still trendy...

I love these looks from the Stella McCartney spring/summer 2011 collection for kids.  The orange romper is in trend with the color and style.  The black and white dress is just LOVELY, one of my fav looks from this collection. I love the shorts being paired with the vest and check out the long jean skirt...it's back in style!

These boys are very trendy with their striped tops! they would also look nice paired with a blazer could be bold with red or play it safe with navy blue. But we are seeing a lot of the rolled jean for the spring/summer collection for men and boys!

The colors in this look go great with the models skin...very much on trend with the cargo styled pant rolled up.  This outfit looks great with the open collard shirt and the gray tee...but let's not forget the shoes-the colors in the shoe really make the colors in the shirt pop!

Can't go wrong with POLO for boys.  A simple POLO shirt paired with these great shorts make him ready a day out with mom and dad! I love this whole look..who said boys couldn't be trendy?

What's in It FOR MEN?

So what's happening out there for the men?  What are they wearing, and what can they be inspired by..??? For spring 2011 trends we see more spring pea-coats, and metallic blazers. As revolving clothes calls it the mountain man shirts are still popular. We also see a cropped pant and/or slim fit pant with the bottom rolled up a little.  We see a lot more men stepping out and being bold with their trends.  Celebrities like Kanye West has defined a style that sets him apart as well as David Beckham.  But, men don't have to try too hard to have a nice style about them just a little of this and that will do just fine! I'll show you what I mean....

When it comes to the cut of men clothes they have to but careful. 
When it comes to just looking for a nice casual look a nice jacket paired with a good pair of jeans or pant is a great foundation....

Here are some looks I loved from Simon Spurr's Spring 2011 collection...men be inspired!

This seems to be my fav look...I love how this suit is paired with the scarf and some casual shoes, you can definitely wear a look like this on a casual Friday to work or out to dinner with your lady!

I love the colors and this jacket...great weekend or evening out attire! The fedora is still very much in style for the spring/summer 2011.

This jacket is sharp! I love it because it can be paired with a nice pair of black pants  or with a jean as shown above.  I would suggest wearing this jacket open with a simple tee or even a collared shirt with or without a tie (depending on where you're going)  This is so sporty and trendy...

This is such a classic yet trendy outfit! I love the way the pant fits, it's a nice slim and straight fit! This jacket is awesome because it's one that can be paired with so many different looks just to add a little twist to a simple outfit!

Make Me Over Meek!

I had the pleasure of working with a very nice young lady! She came to me because she was looking to do something different, stepping out of her comfort zone.  For her birthday she decided to treat herself to a photo shoot...well let me tell you ladies and gentlemen that photo shoot was absolutely FAB! She is already beautiful but this photo shoot pushed her to another dimension.  Just to give you a little background on her she is the type of girl who likes to be in comfortable clothes, like her jeans, a tee and maybe sweats.  I was so honored to be apart of this shoot because all I did was provide the clothes & accessories to enhance a beautiful person!

This was her look for the office.  She wanted to capture a trendy yet an executive look! Suit and blouse from Express.  Loved the purple tones up against her skin...a little twist on just doing the normal black or gray suit! (nothing wrong with black or gray)

Every girl must have a little black dress in their closet! The shoes paired with this look were from Betsy Johnson but the shape and material was awesome to wear with many different looks. The material was lace and came up a little past the ankle...just love those shoes.  The dress was from bcbg.com

This dress didn't need to many accessories...I suggested a nice bangle and dangling earrings. You could also pair with a nice over-sized ring as well! But doesn't she looks amazing!?

A Little Spring in my Winter

I got a little excited about the Spring/Summer Trends that I thought I put a little Spring in my Winter today! As you will see for the Spring/Summer 2011 Trends there's a lot of mixed prints, bright colors, flowers and so much more!!!




So why did I wear these lilac suede pumps with my violet tone tights? Because it's ok...yes I like to have fun with color and when you put an outfit together it's ok mix pieces that coordinate together in the same color family.
